We all learn in different ways. If you’ve ever seen an incredibly effective trainer or sports coach in action, they give detailed directions about what to do and how to do it and often demonstrate using specific words and actions. They spend time developing relationships with the athletes they are working with and communicate in ways with the best chance of being received and retained. Developing training material for your team is no different. The material is only step one. Take it further by creating real-life scenarios that will engage the learning styles of your team. Make it real and personal, and make it part of your day-to-day.
