Some days we can't concentrate. Too many things are coming at us from all angles, and there is no end in sight. Rather than ping back and forth, take a break. Take a breath. Walk or close your eyes. You most need a break when you feel like you have the least time. Take the break anyway. When you come back, prioritize. Cancel less-pressing meetings and dig in one thing at a time. Resist the urge to jump back into everything at once, but if and when that happens, repeat the break. Best of all, you set an example for others to take a break too.
