Living in California, I occasionally think about wildfires and earthquakes, but more as a "what if" rather than a "right now." It is easy to lose sight of something when it isn't in front of you. The good news is that we can all prepare* now, so we'll be better off whenever our "what if" happens. Have you mapped out your needs? Make a will, organize your finances, and have a plan before you need it. Thinking about this stuff isn't fun, but it is a necessity. What steps can you take today to protect your tomorrow?
